1. While sitting in your car
Tighten and release abs repeatedly at stop signs and lights. These are like Kegel exercises. You don't feel so much yet results are being achieved!
2. Sitting at your desk
Use Pilates breathing while sitting at your desk. Suck in your belly as if you were putting a tight pair of jeans. exhale without allowing your abs to relax. You can do this for 30 seconds at a time at least 5 times a day. You will feel results.. just not while doing it!
3. On a Treadmill
On the treadmill keep your back straight, head forward and keep abs tight. Keeping straight engages abs and burns more calories!
4. Walking the Dog
Brace against leash pulling. Keep your torso straight and shoulders back. For 5 steps rotate squeeze ab muscles and relaxing them. Keep doing this until you get home!
5. Laying In Bed
Place palms right below belly button. while you exhale expand your stomach. WHen inhaling pull your belly button toward your spine and drawing your abs into the mattress. Hold for 10 seconds repeat 4 times!
6. While Lifting Weights
Stop slouching! Engage abs while lifting weights. Slouching ruins your abs muscles making sit ups and other ab exercises useless!
7. Running
Picking up your pace in any cardio can target your abs. If you add 3, 20 minute 'high intensity jogs' to their weekly walking (dog walking even) you can lose 2 dress sizes according to researchers and the University of Virginia. Step up your walking sessions to see dramatic results!
